You can become a member of First Choice Federal Credit Union by opening a Savings Account, known as a Share Account. Membership begins with an easy $10 deposit into a Share Account. You are then on your way to taking advantage of all the services that the credit union has to offer.
Membership is FREE. That $10 is not ours, it is yours. It is your “share” in the company. All accounts opened must remain open for at least six (6) months or there is an early close penalty of $10.00
Eligibility for Membership
Anyone who lives, works, volunteers, or attends church or school in Lawrence County is eligible to join.
We also proudly continue to serve our Member Companies, known as SEGs (Select Employee Groups). Our initial field of membership was only open to employees and family members of the B&O Railroad, currently known as CSX Corporation. Over the years we have welcomed numerous SEGs to the First Choice Family. If you work for one of these Member Companies you are also eligible to join. For an up-to-date list of our SEGs please phone one of our offices.
Additionally, if you are a relative of any of one of our current members, you are eligible to join. If you would like to start an account for kids or grandkids that don’t live in the area, they are eligible through your membership. We look forward to serving you and your family’s financial needs.
